A requirement by a regulatory body (the General Dental Council in the UK) for a registered dental professional to demonstrate a satisfactory standard of professional competence, conduct, and health. The Fitness to Practise Panel is independent of the General Dental Council (GDC) and consists of 76 members made up of dentists, lay members, and dental care professionals. The three GDC Practice Committees are the Professional Conduct Committee (PCC), the Health Committee (HC), and the Professional Performance Committee (PrPC).
