Bp. of Lincoln from 1420. As Junior Proctor at Oxford in 1407, Fleming had Wycliffite sympathies. He represented the English nation at the Councils of Pavia and Siena in 1423, and impressed Martin V. In 1427 he founded Lincoln College, Oxford, primarily to train opponents of Wycliffite teaching (which he had since forsworn).
