Quick Reference


A massive file of procedures for a space shuttle or space station mission. It contains checklists for normal, back-up, and emergency procedures, as well as activity plans for the crew, maps of the Earth, star charts, and other information. The crew reviews the file during their period of isolation in the final days before the launch, and it remains immediately available during the mission, being stowed in containers on the flight deck next to the seats of the pilot and commander.
