[W. H. Flower (1831–99), English anatomist] A craniometric index indicating the comparative size of the teeth. It is the distance from the mesial surface of the first premolar to the distal surface of the third molar (dental length) multiplied by 100 and divided by the distance from the midline point on the anterior border of the foramen magnum (basion) to the middle of the nasofrontal suture (nasion), the basinasal length.
