A battle in the Hundred Years War. English forces were intercepted by French troops on their way to reinforce the garrison at Caen. Despite successes won by their archers, the English were overcome when French reinforcements arrived. This French victory led to the fall of Caen two months later, and the English loss of Normandy soon after.
