The manner of expressing a movement in time and space when performing a complex gross motor skill. Form is unique from person to person, and though good form is usually associated with outstanding athletes, it is difficult to define exactly what constitutes good form. It is a factor taken into consideration when judging some sports, such as gymnastics, and relates to aesthetic value of performance. Judges consider factors such as balance, symmetry, rhythm, and composition which contribute to the finished shape and action of performance.
