Italian-US dancer and choreographer. She studied with Anna Halprin, Robert Dunn, Graham, and Cunningham and began performing in 1960 with her first husband, the painter and dancer Robert Morris. Her choreography eschewed formal dance elements in favour of an ongoing exploration of the natural movement of animals and people. She also performed in improvised events with her second husband Robert Whitman.
