One of the problems of writing books about a particular piece of Internet technology is that the technology changes very fast. This has meant that publishers have had to shorten their publication cycles. A Frankenedit is one of the less appealing results of this rush to publication. It is a term used to describe some text produced by an author which has been hurriedly edited to the point where it is in a worse condition than the original version of the text.
