Quick Reference

A plug-in which gives rise to material that is displayed on a full page of a browser window. This is in contrast to an embedded plug-in where the media displayed occupies part of a page, with material defined by the enclosing HTML surrounding it. When the full page has been browsed a user usually collapses the window in which it is contained and returns to reading the HTML page that gave rise to the displayed material.
