Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

A domain (~70–80 aa) named after the four proteins in which it was first found (Fab1, YOTB/ZK632.12, Vac1, and EEA1) that coordinates two zinc ions and binds PI3P but not more highly phosphorylated phosphoinositides. More than 60 proteins have been shown to have such domains and all are involved in membrane trafficking and phosphoinositide metabolism.
