gamma index

Quick Reference

In a network, a measure of connectivity that reflects the relationship between the number of observed links and the number of possible links. The value of gamma is between 0 and 1 where 1 indicates a completely connected network (extremely unlikely in reality). Where e is edges, and v for vertices (nodes),γ=e3(v-2)See Xie and Levinson (2007) Geog. Analysis 39, 3.
