Quick Reference

Gaperon (or gapron) is a soft cow's-milk cheese, flavoured with garlic and usually pepper, that is made in the Auvergne region of central France. It is shaped like a sphere with the bottom cut off. Its name is a derivative of gape, a local dialect word for ‘buttermilk’.
