Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

In an increasingly tolerant society that upholds human rights, one segment of society that was long marginalized and victimized was the minority group comprising male and female homosexuals. In the last 2 to 3 decades of the 20th century, this group became increasingly assertive, and the gay and lesbian movement that was established in many countries has since won many concessions that have led toward recognition and equity.
