Legendary 10th-century Welsh bard; the claim that he collected ancient poetry and laws, contributed to the Gorsedd, and compiled the first Welsh grammar is not supported by any known records. Cited as Glascurian by Geoffrey Chaucer in the Hous of Fame (1372–86) and in the English ballad included in Percy's Reliques (1765), and given no. 67 in F. J. Child's catalogue.
