Glen's Flow Law

Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

As temperature increases, the Glen's Flow Law parameter increases; as temperature decreases, towards the top of a glacier, Glen's Flow Law will decrease, and the glacier flow will slow. In using this law to model real ice masses, remember that many simplifications may have been assumed (B. Hubbard and N. Glasser2005).
