[M. Goldenhar (1924–2001), American physician] A congenital defect characterized by incomplete development of the ear (microtia), nose, soft palate, lip, and mandible. It is a variant of hemifacial microstomia and additionally includes underdevelopment or lack of internal organs on one side of the body.
