A 15th‐cent. Scottish poem of 1,362 lines in 13‐line alliterative stanzas, printed in a pamphlet in Edinburgh in 1508, and having some similarities to The Awntyrs of Arthure. It is loosely based on the French prose Perceval and is concerned with a journey of Arthur and his knights to the Holy Land. The stress throughout is on chivalry, especially that of Gawain.
