One-eyed monster killed by Cúchulainn, whose traditional enemy he was. T. F. O'Rahilly (1946) asserts that Goll was a sun-deity and lord of the Otherworld, and that this combat parallels that of Lug Lámfhota with Balor and Fionn mac Cumhaill with Goll mac Morna. Goll bears the same patronymic as Briccriu and may be his brother.
