The term may be used as a noun, indicating someone who has successfully completed their undergraduate studies and been awarded a bachelor's degree; or as a verb, indicating the achievement of that graduate status, as in ‘She graduated last week’. It may also be used as an adjective, in describing the level of study undertaken, as in ‘Since she graduated she has enrolled on a graduate course in education studies’. See also graduation.
