printer. An enthusiastic supporter of the Reformation, c.1536 he arranged with E. Whitchurch for the printing at Antwerp of Matthew's Bible (1537). He was then responsible for the printing of the Great Bible at Paris; when this was suspended by the Sorbonne, he escaped to England. He also printed the 1549 and 1552 BCP.
