Italian dancer, director, and choreographer. He trained at the Rosella Hightower Centre in Cannes and danced in cabaret before joining the Ballet Antibes of Patrick Tridon. In 1987 he moved to Paris and between 1992 and 1996 performed with the company of Jan Fabre, additionally working with Sabura Teshigawara. In 1995 he met theatre director Pieter C. Scholten and the following year moved to Amsterdam to found their joint company Emio Greco|PC. Their investigations into new forms of dance language have involved intensive scrutiny of the body's relationship with space, light, sound, and text; evolving a style of detailed precision and extreme physicality that has been displayed in productions such as the Double Points series (five works created between 1996 and 2002) and Hell (2005). Many of their works have been created in collaboration with visual artists, and they have additionally directed and choreographed theatre and opera, including Orfeo ed Euridice (2004).
