One who discovers or reveals terma (Tib., gter-ma), which according to the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism are hidden textual ‘treasures’ concealed by Padmasambhava in the 8th century. The location of the treasures is communicated by female spirits (ḍākinīs) to advanced practitioners of anuttara-yoga-tantra.
