The short name of Gyel-tshab Darma Rinchen (rgyal-tshab dar-ma rin-chen), one of Tsongkhapa's two main disciples. His short name (meaning ‘regent’) was given in view of his acting as Tsongkhapa's trusted representative, later becoming abbot of Ganden Monastery from 1419 until his death.
