Prof. Vienna Univ. 1930. Ed. works by Monteverdi etc., but best known for his editorship of complete edn. of Bruckner's works from 1932 to 1949 when he was succeeded by Nowak. Haas restored the syms. nearer to the form in which Bruckner intended they should be heard. Author of books on Vienna Opera (1926), Mozart (1933), and Bruckner (1934).
