A condition characterized by finger numbness, and tingling or painful finger blanching triggered by cold. It is usually caused by hand-held vibration tools. It may be unilateral or bilateral and is initially episodic but may progress to become constant. It can be associated with carpal tunnel syndrome. The prevalence is low but dental professionals such as hygienists are considered to be at some risk. The treatment is symptomatic.
