Austrian composer (Polish‐born). Mus. dir., Radio Kraków 1947–50. Dir., state mus. library and prof. of mus., Tel Aviv Acad. 1950–7. Worked at Fr. Radio musique concrète studio, 1957. Settled in Vienna 1957–68, working for Universal Edition. Composer of several elec. works. Much concerned with new methods of notation. Organized first exhibition of graphic scores, Donaueschingen 1959.
