After studying architecture and industrial design in Tokyo, followed by a year working for Seiko, Hasuike established his own consultancy in Milan. He has designed for a wide range of leading companies, including coffee machines for Gaggia, electronic products for Panasonic, sanitary ware for Villeroy & Boch and tableware, Grand Gourmet kitchen knives (1994), and cookware for WMF. His output has also included accessories for work and the office under the brand name MH Way. His international reputation has been enhanced by receipt of the Compasso d'Oro as well as the Grand Prix at the XXV Milan Triennale.
