Asteroid 6, discovered in 1847 by the German amateur astronomer Karl Ludwig Hencke (1793–1866). Hebe is an S-class asteroid of diameter 185 km. Its orbit has a semimajor axis of 2.426 AU, period 3.78 years, perihelion 1.93 AU, aphelion 2.92 AU, and inclination 14°.8.
