A cannibal rākṣasa in the Mahābhārata, who threatens the Pāṇḍavas while they are in the forest, disguised as brahmin ascetics. Bhīma kills him in a wrestling match, then marries his sister Hiḍimbā. Their son Ghaṭotkaca appears during the final war to fight for the Pāṇḍavas.
