Composed of stanzas that all share the same form, with identical numbers of lines of corresponding lengths, and with identical rhyme schemes. Nearly all stanzaic verse is homostrophic. The term is used chiefly to distinguish the Horatian ode, which is homostrophic, from the Pindaric and irregular ode forms, which are not.
