A general term for any skin disease that is accompanied by formation of clear blisters. Hydroa herpetiforme is a chronic skin disease that may be associated with malignancy in the elderly. Hydroa vacciniforme (HV) is a rare, chronic photodermatosis of unknown origin occurring in childhood. Recurrent vesicles form on skin exposed to the sun and heal to form scars resembling those left by vaccination.
