Swedish dancer, choreographer, and director. He trained at the schools of the Royal Swedish Ballet and National Ballet of Canada, joining RSB in 1985 and becoming soloist in 1989. In 1990 he joined Nederlands Dans Theater where he choreographed his first major work, Mellantid (for NDT 2) in 1995. He went on to choreograph many more works for NDT1, 2, and 3 including Dream Play (mus. Stravinsky, 2000), Walking Mad (mus. Ravel and Pärt, 2001), and Out of Breath (mus. Jacob ter Veldhuis, 2002). In 2003 Inger was appointed artistic director of Cullberg Ballet, his works for that company including Phases (mus. Reich, 2003), Within Now (mus. Reich, 2004), Point of Eclipse (mus. Jean-Louis Huhta, 2007) and Position of Elsewhere (mus. Huhta and Bach). He retired as director in 2008.
