Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

A strategy used in randomized controlled trials that aims to prevent bias due to loss of participants by including all participants in data analysis, whether or not they completed the intervention given to the group of which they were a member. Bias caused by failure to adhere to the protocol may otherwise cause one group to show differences from the baseline data that are unrelated to the effects of the intervention.

Subjects: Public Health and Epidemiology.
