Quick Reference

A form of goal setting in which past performances are used to compute target intervals of time or distance in which a future performance should be achieved. A performance falling within the interval is considered successful regardless of the outcome in terms of win and loss. Interval goal-setting can provide incentives for accomplishing both short-term goals and long-term goals.
