Quick Reference

A hypothetical state of affairs in which one person experiences qualia in the opposite way to another, as would be the case if one person always experienced as red those stimuli that another always experienced as green. The possibility of inverted qualia, and the apparent impossibility of knowing if they exist, have been used by philosophers to argue that mental experiences are not reducible to physical states or events.
