Quick Reference

A CXC chemokine (CXCL11, interferon-inducible T-cell α chemoattractant, small inducible cytokine B11, IP9, 94 aa) that is potently chemotactic for IL-2 activated T cells and may be important in central nervous system diseases that involve T-cell recruitment (e.g. experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis). Production from macrophages is induced by interferon-γ and down-regulated by anti-inflammatory steroids. The receptor is CXCR3.
