Ostensibly a British bishop of Persian origin who came to Britain via Rome and preached in Cambridgeshire. His cult began when his alleged bones were discovered at St Ives, Cambs., in 1001. Feast days, 24 Apr. and 10 June. The town of St Ives in Cornwall seems to be named after another saint.
