A rocket engine produced in the USA by the Rocketdyne Propulsion and Power Division of the Boeing Company. It was used in the Saturn V launch vehicle for the Apollo programme, with five J-2 engines on the second stage and one on the third stage. The engine is more than 3.4 m long and has a thrust of 101 250 kg. It uses liquid-hydrogen and liquid-oxygen propellants.
