This innovative Swedish furniture company was founded by Sven Lundh in 1965, gaining a reputation for the production of limited edition, original, and unconventional designs. A notable design that was put into production in 1982 by Källemo was a concrete chair designed by Jonas Bohlin, first spotted by Lundh at the Stockholm Art Academy's student exhibition of 1962. The use of an industrial material was quite opposed to the prevailing aesthetically charged crafts‐oriented ethos of much Scandinavian Modern design. Källemo designs are characterized by their unconventionality and individualism and amongst the most significant designers associated with the company are Mats Theselius (including a couch in steel and leather of 1991 and iron‐plate easy chair of 1994), John Kandell (including the Solitaire chair and table of 1985), and Bjørn Nørgaard (including the Sculpture chairs of 1995).
