A small launch complex in Russia, last used for a space launch in 1987. Located about 100 km southeast of the city of Volgograd, it was the launch site of small satellites and sounding rockets. Space activity at the site was frequent in the 1960s but averaged only one launch a year throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
