A family of proteins with diverse functions, characterized by a 50-aa repeat (Kelch domain) named after the Drosophila mutant in which it was first identified. Kelch repeats are found in Drosophila egg-chamber regulatory protein, α- and β-scruin, and galactose oxidase from the fungus Dactylium dendroides.
