Anchoress who died on Inch Cailleach in Loch Lomond c.733. According to the Aberdeen Breviary she was of Irish royal blood, her father being Cellach, prince of Leinster; she married a neighbouring prince and had a son Fillan. After her husband's death she left Ireland, lived as a nun in Scotland, and eventually settled on Loch Lomond, where the island church of Inch Cailleach, of which ruins remain, was dedicated to her. Feast: 7 January.
