A larger type of Dutch cargo carrier or barge, about 20–24 metres (65–80 ft) in length, steel built with leeboards. Before the introduction of the diesel engine it was ketch rigged when used under sail. They are recognizable by the upright stem curved at the top into a form of clipper bow and a round counter stern.
