[Ir. cnoc na Ria, na Riaghadh, hill of executions (?)].
Hill (1,083 feet) 4 miles SW of Sligo popularly associated with Queen Medb. A cairn atop the hill has long been known as ‘Maeve's Lump’ or Miscaun Maeve [Ir. Miosgán Méabha]. Old Irish narrative literature attributes the cairn to Eógan Bél (6th cent.), the last pre-Christian king of Connacht, who was killed in battle nearby.
