Belgian architect, an early devotee of International Modernism, much influenced by Le Corbusier, Gropius, and others. Among his works may be mentioned the house at Vronerodelaan, Uccele, Brussels (1924), the Ley Villa, Prins van Oranjelaan, Brussels (1934), and the standardized rationalized kitchen he exhibited at CIAM (1930). As Belgian correspondent for L'Architecture d'aujourd'hui (from 1934), he was internationally influential.
