Quick Reference

The killing and eating of offspring. The word is derived from the name Kronos, in Greek mythology the Titan who swallowed his children (apart from Zeus, who escaped because his mother substituted a stone). The analogy is not perfect, as the victims did not die and eventually were vomited by Kronos, and subsequently killed him.
