A die (akṣa), or side of a die, marked with four spots, representing the highest scoring throw. The term is used metaphorically to designate the first in sequence of the four world ages or yugas (the kṛtayuga), the perfect, or golden age (also known as the satyayuga, the age of truth). It is characterized by an exceptionally long lifespan and the perfection of moral and spiritual achievement, the acme of dharma.
