Spanish dancer. She studied at the Victor Ullate School and made her debut with his company aged 15. In 1994 she moved to National Ballet of Marseilles as principal dancer, creating roles in Petit's Bolero (1997), among others. In 1997 she moved to San Francisco Ballet, where she created the title role in Tomasson's staging of Giselle (1999) and in 2002 moved to the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich. She has guested with several other companies, including English National Ballet and La Scala and is regularly partnered by Malakhov.
