British dancer and teacher. She studied with Astafieva and Cecchetti and danced in the companies of Pavlova and Markova-Dolin. In 1945 she co-founded the Embassy Ballet (subsequently Continental Ballet) with her husband, Travis Kemp, and M. Honer. In 1954 she was appointed director of the Ankara Conservatoire and remained there for twenty years, returning to London to teach at the London School of Contemporary Dance and at her own school.
