Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

In the health sector, a common problem is inability of health workers and those they serve to communicate because they speak different languages. This occurs, for instance, with immigrant and refugee communities. It is often compounded by a cultural barrier, partly due to differing values associated with the cultural origins of each language and partly due to other inherent cultural differences.
